Your client was able to print a Selective Service record.
Congratulations, your client now has everything they need to obtain an Arizona Drivers License.
Your client should bring 3 documents - their Birth Certificate, W-2 forms, and Selective Service record - to a Motor Vehicles Division (MVD) office.
Since your client has never had a Drivers License in Arizona, they must prove their driving ability.
- If your client has a valid (not expired) Drivers License from any state, this card is sufficient proof of driving ability.
- If your client does not have a valid Drivers License from any state (because it was lost, expired, or never obtained), your client will have to take a driving test, using an insured vehicle.
The cost of a first-time Arizona Drivers License varies by age. This can be paid in cash, check or money order.
- Ages 16-39: $25
- Ages 40-44: $20
- Ages 45-49: $15
- Age 50 and older: $10
The MVD will issue a temporary Drivers License, which is good for 30 days. The permanent card will arrive in the mail within 7-10 business days.

If your client's current legal name is different than their birth name because their name changed at marriage, you may need to obtain a marriage certificate as well.
